Rules of Admission to Waqf Academy

  • The student must be at least 22 years old.
  • Memorized 1 chapter of the Quran.
  • Must have a bachelor's degree.
  • Must have 1 reference from previous teachers or well-known scholars.
  • Must pass the written admissions test (score at least 70%).
  • Must pass the oral interview (score at least 70%).
  • If the number of students who passed the tests are more than the student limit set by the management, the academy will choose between the applicants based on standards set by them.
  • The applicant must not have been a student at the academy previously.
  • Pledging to attend regularly and not exceed the absentee limit which is 25% of all actual study days.
  • Pledging to completely follow the rules set for the academy starting from admission, and to do the tests and the research project.

Exclusion from studying at Waqf Academy

FIRST: Surpassing the absentee limit which IS 25% OF THE TOTAL NUMBER OF DAYS WITHOUT AN ACCEPTABLE REASON OR EXCUSE.
PROCEDURES IN THIS CASE:
  • A warning is sent to the student's e-mail by the General Coordinator responsible for the student.
  • In the case of non-response and continued non-attendance the Waqf Academy management will contact the student to determine the cause of absence.
  • In the case of non-response and non-attendance the file is sent to the academy managment for the application of penalty clauses.

Note: In the case of compulsive pathological conditions matters will be assessed based on official certificates approved by a government entity.
(Will be studied on a case by case basis and the appropriate decision will be taken)

SECOND: IN THE CASE OF MISCONDUCT AND IMPROPER DISPOSITION OF OTHERS DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR.
PROCEDURES IN THIS CASE:
  • The problem is investigated and a report is sent to the management of Waqf Academy.
  • A warning is sent to the student's e-mail by the General Coordinator responsible for the student.
  • In case of repitition and further problems, the student is removed from the courses.

Note: In the case of compulsive pathological conditions matters will be assessed based on official certificates approved by a government entity.
(Will be studied on a case by case basis and the appropriate decision will be taken)

THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF Waqf ACADEMY

Admission:-
  • First: the schedules are logged automatically before the start of each academic subject for all students according to the academic level of the student and cumulative GPA.
  • Second: students must attend lectures and adhere to the academic timetable.
ACADEMIC ADVISOR:-

The academic advisor is responsible for the student in all that relates to academic record and guiding and directing the follow-up and coordination and support, as a father of a student at the academy, director and teacher, and the student should not follow up on any academic matters with anyone other than his academic advisor, and the advisor is responsible for many of tasks such as:

Withdrawal from the course:-

The student submits his withdrawal request to the academy management who will study the request and either accept or deny it.
The head of admissions is informed of the decision and the student obtains a grade of (W) withdrew with reason if his request is accepted.
The student is re-admitted instantly (if his request was accepted) after the course he withdrew from ends, and if the student wants to withdraw form the next course as well he needs to submit another request.

Collapse of Admission & Readmission:-

If the student does not attend for 1 subject without asking to withdraw or postpone his admission is collapsed, and the academy council has the right to collapse the student's admission if he is absent for more than 25% of the school days.

Steps to Re-enrollment :

A student whose admission has collapsed can re-enroll with the same student ID and student records with the following conditions :

  • The student must submit his request to the admissions department with his student ID and proof of the reason behind his absence.
  • The request is then discussed by the academy council to decide whether to accept or reject it.
  • If more than 5 subjects have passed since the student's admission collapsed, he can enroll as a new student without returning to his previous records, and his application must conform to all the rules of admission and his admission will be decided by the admissions department.
RE-ENROLLMENT CONTROLS:-
  • The request for re-enrollment should be submitted at the beginning of the studying phase of the course he dropped out from.
  • The student must not have been expelled from the academy for academic or disciplinary reasons, and if it is discovered that he was after re-enrolling, his re-enrollment will be considered void.
  • A student can't be re-enrolled if he has an academic warning.
  • A student can only be re-enrolled once.

THE TESTS AND RESULTS:

Tests:

If the student was unable to attend the final test for a legitimate reason then he needs to submit a request to the academy with documents proving this, and if his request is accepted, he is allowed to take a substitute test before the end of the following subject, and his grade will be based on the substitute test.

The student is not allowed to take more than two final tests per day.

Cheating on the test of research project or not following the rules of the test are things the student can be punished for by the academy management.

Modifying Grades:
  • Any modification of the grades must be done before the final test of the following subject.
  • The admissions department modifies the grade of a student based on a request from the academy dean which is based on a decision by the teacher of the subject with reasons behind the change.
